I love this smoke alarm. It is neat unit containing a built in 3v lithium battery which gas a 10 year lifespan, so no worry about constantly having to replace batteries.
The smoke alarm is fixed to the wall or ceiling by fixing the backing plate in place with the screws supplied then twisting on the smoke alarm.
Once installed and powered on the red LED button flashes every 30 seconds so you know it is working. This button can be pressed periodically to check the alarm or to hush it when the alarm sounds.
The alarm is plenty loud enough to wake the whole household if required.
The unit has a photoelectric sensor for early smoke detection.
The detailed instruction booklet gives very full instructions.
